Zoom Webinar

The Department of Chemical Engineering offers five MSc Programmes, each of which seeks to push the boundaries of students’ knowledge by applying theoretical rigour and fundamental principles to challenge ideas.  Chemical engineers play a major role in developing the expertise and technologies behind products we desire or depend on in everyday life, thereby enhancing our standard of living. Our programmes facilitate multidisciplinary collaboration, providing graduates with the advanced training necessary to enter the chemical and related process industries. Our graduates work across a large variety of sectors, including Energy, Environment, Pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, Business and Management, Nuclear, Food and drink, Chemicals, Healthcare, Materials, Water, Biotechnology, Process Plant and Equipment, Mining and Minerals.

In September 2023, the UCL Department of Chemical Engineering launched three MSc programmes at UCL’s new campus (UCL East) in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic site in East London. The MSc courses are designed to equip the next generation of engineers with the practical skills needed to employ new technologies and methodologies, which have significantly broadened the scope of what can be done in the materials, manufacturing and transport industries and hold the key to ensuring sustainable development in these sectors.
