Trinity School
Overview
We
are a co-educational school, situated on the south coast, overlooking the sea
set in 14 acres of landscaped grounds. The School now accommodates 500 pupils,
from 3-19, and our teaching staff:pupil ratio is 1:9. Our aim is to maintain
numbers at this level, with a boarding community of 125 boys and girls and a
boarding staff team of 18 personal tutors. We also aim to further improve
facilities and resources, at a considerable rate and have committed over £6
million over the last 6 years in new buildings, including new classrooms,
laboratories and boarding accommodation with en-suite bathrooms, equipment and
staff.
Our boarders come from Britain, the European Community, the Eastern Bloc and
continents further afield, Africa, Asia and the Americas, although overseas
students never exceed 15% of the total number of students.
Over 30 after-school clubs exist, plus weekend activities and trips, post-study
activities for boarders in the evenings.
Staff development continues so that every department and faculty within the
School can aim to raise standards further. In addition to a wide range of A2
and AS levels, the School offers Advanced Business and Information Technology
courses that are popular alternatives, to the more usual academic subjects.
Unique Points
The
Christian ethos at Trinity and wide ranging opportunities provide the firm
foundation and clear direction for our young people, so that they fully
develop, influencing and leading in a positive, non-judgemental and fair-minded
way.
We strive to be the best boarding and day school of its kind. The boarding
staff work hard to generate a warm, lively, happy and friendly, family
atmosphere, which prospective parents often comment on. We aim to ensure that
our pastoral care is of the highest order possible, as we believe a happy
student will achieve their highest potential.
We embrace ALL faiths.
