King Edward's School, Witley
Overview
King
Edward’s School is ideally situated for access from London and both main
airports.
The School offers a blend of forward-thinking and traditional values in a
secure environment where young people can be nurtured – intellectually,
spiritually, emotionally, culturally and socially – through the transition from
childhood to adulthood.
"The pupils' personal development is outstanding. The School's strong
ethos enables pupils from a very diverse range of backgrounds, cultures and
countries to live and work together fully integrated and completely at ease.
Pupils are conspicuously proud to be at the School and make the most of the
opportunities it offers them." " (Independent Schools Inspectorate,
October 2010)
The report also praises the School's academic achievements, its
extra-curricular activities, its boarding provision and pastoral care.
Unique Points
King
Edward's School has outstanding on-site facilities including an indoor swimming
pool, modern sports centre, squash courts, dance studio and extensive sports
fields, including an astro-turf pitch and recently a new state-of-the-art music
technology centre.
Academically the school has excellent results and offers the International
Baccalaureate Diploma (11th in UK in 2010) in the 6th Form together with a
purpose designed Pre-IB course in Year 11. Pupils proceed to many of the top
universities in the UK and overseas.
Pastoral care is paramount and is something for which we are rightly proud.
